Caminante, no hay camino, se hace camino al andar (Camminatore, non c’è cammino, si fa il cammino camminando). 

These famous verses by Antonio Machado perhaps also hold the destiny of the old paths: almost overtaken by modernity, they can still survive only if someone continues to walk them, and in a certain sense reinvent them.
